Digital Networking Breakfast

The goal of our networking breakfasts is simple: to provide a platform for women to meet and exchange professional advice that will help them advance their businesses and careers. The last gathering, which focused on digital and socal media management, ‘did just that- in spades. We could’ve listened all day to Sinead McSweeney (ex Garda Siochana and now policy director of Twitter)- what amazing stories! And social media guru Cathy Orr, Lauren Fisher of Simply Zesty, RTE’s Muirne Laffan and the Irish Internet Association’s Joan Mulvihill (note to self: enrol in one of their courses ASAP).

The main takeaway tips from the session at the newly revamped Morrison Hotel? Upskilling and tending your social media are well worth the (Herculean) effort. It’s not OK to be casual about the latter any more, it’s an absolute priority for any business, large or small. After the panellists finished taking questions from our own Melanie Morris and guests, it was far from over. Later in the day one attendee (a solicitor) ran into Cathy Orr at Cinnamon in Ranelagh. They’ve since been exchanging emails about how they can help each other out. RESULT!

The IMAGE Networking Breakfasts are co-sponsored by Enterprise Ireland and Brown Thomas. Our next event is June 11th in The Marker Hotel. More info to be announced shortly.
