Few things carry as much responsibility as choosing the right bottle of wine for the table. It's a high-pressured situation if you're not a wine connoisseur; no one wants to be the person who picked the wrong one.
If you need help discerning your Sauvignon Blancs from your Chardonnays, O'Briens Wine is giving two lucky IMAGE.ie readers a chance to win a pair of tickets to their upcoming O’Briens Wine Festival (plus six bottles of wine delivered to their home).
O’Briens Wine Festival
Taking place in both Limerick and Dublin this May, O’Briens Wine Festival is Ireland’s biggest wine tasting event. Guests will have the opportunity to spend time with some of the world’s most iconic winemakers and taste over 280 of their best and most exciting wines.
Over 65 wineries (from as far as Argentina, Chile, Australia and New Zealand) will travel to Ireland for the weekend; offering guests a unique opportunity to attend free masterclasses and explore the thrilling world of wine in one room.
It's a must for any wine lover (and a fabulous gift idea, if we do say so ourselves).
A good cause
The Limerick festival takes place on Thursday, May 9 from 6-9 pm, with tickets priced at €20. Not only does the ticket price include ALL wine samples, a complimentary Tipperary Crystal wine glass and a wine guide to take home, but the proceeds are all going to a good cause.
Proceeds from O'Briens Wine Festival in Limerick will be donated to three amazing charities; including Cliona’s Foundation, Children’s Grief Centre and CARI Limerick.
Meanwhile, the Dublin Wine Festival kicks off on Friday 10 May from 6-9 pm at The Printworks, Dublin Castle. It will reopen on Saturday 11 May from 2-5 pm, and later the same day from 6-9 pm.
Tickets for the Dublin event are priced at €30, including ALL wine samples, a complimentary Tipperary Crystal wine glass and a wine guide to take home; and proceeds will go to the Snowflake Autism Support Group.
