We Heart Irish Fashion

Sonya Lennon and Brendan Courtney (aka Lennon Courtney) have combined 35 years of styling experience to create their covetable-cool label. We’re smitten with these clothes – they’re the type of thing you’ll want to pull out of your wardrobes, daily. But mainly, we love the ethos behind the label – that every single design is based on the analysis of a woman’s body shape which, happily translates to each piece being a hymn to the female form. We kid you not. These babies sculpt the figure where needed, and skim the areas you’d rather not draw attention to – billowing sleeves hide bingo wings; A-line shapes disguise curvy thighs; high-waisted pencil skirts hide tummies and define hour-glass shapes; exaggerated shoulder details draw the eye away from curvy areas. Think of these guys as easy-going separates yet hardworking pieces, if you know what I mean. The full collection is available at Arnotts and Kilkenny stores, and this season for the first time, at Harvey Nichols, Dundrum. We’ve also just got the scoop that the autumn collection is due to hit London boutique Wolf & Badger in autumn, plus a standalone store in the city centre is rumoured, too. There’s just no stopping this dynamic duo. Watch this space. Pieces from €40.
