Trust me, this suiting trend is going to dominate this season

No outfit gives you instant bo$$ status quicker than a suit, so get ready for this staple silhouette to trend this season

Thanks to the phenomenal comeback of Bottega Veneta under creative director Daniel Lee, subtle and undone elegance is the name of the game these days.

With all the bells and whistles that usually come with Instagram OOTD showboating, it's never been so tempting to opt for muted tones and impeccable tailoring to cut through all the noise.

When OG influencer Danielle Bernstein announced this week that she will launch an affordable, eponymous collection with U.S. retailer Macy's, she opted to tease the line with an understated three-piece slouchy suit in a crisp white shade.

A month out from Bernstein's highly-anticipated collection reveal, the outfit is a telling prediction of a micro-trend that's been bubbling underneath the surface just waiting to make itself known.

Thanks to the AW19 offerings at Chloé, Chanel, Zimmermann and Valentino, ultra-long, languid and loose trousers are currently having a resurgence.

But don't expect to see a baggy or ill-fitting pantsuit in the mix — as social media's leading style stars have been pairing this roomy trouser silhouette with a barely-there sultry flash of a bandeau or a lacy bra underneath a neatly-tailored blazer for the perfect amount of juxtaposition. And in some cases, brave souls are throwing caution to the wind and eschewing a top altogether.

Think less "borrowed your dad's work slacks" and more power suiting for the new decade.
