This March, We’re #WearingIrish

This March, we are #WearingIrish with Margaret Molloy. Join us!

We have a whole host of Irish design talent adored worldwide. Fermanagh-born JW Anderson. Dubliner Zoe Jordan. London Fashion Week’s ‘One To Watch,’ Wexford’s Richard Malone. Dublin’s Paul Costelloe. Not forgetting?Simone Rocha, who,?last year, was awarded the British Fashion Council British Womenswear Designer of the Year, 23 years after her dad received the same award, and who just opened her first stateside store this week in New York.

Last year, Margaret Molloy launched #WearingIrish, her own personal passion project to promote and bring awareness to Irish fashion by inviting fans of fashion and Ireland to wear clothing, accessories, and jewellery by Irish designers during March, the month where everybody wants to be Irish. She encourages those who take part to post photos on all social media channels with the hashtag #WearingIrish to support Irish fashion design.

Speaking about her campaign on her website, Margaret Molloy writes that everyone should get involved, because, “#WearingIrish isn’t about fashion models, it’s about role models. It’s about real people showing their support for Irish fashion in everyday situations.” She wants to build our country’s reputation for fashion, and create a movement around #WearingIrish, that will inspire men and women around the world to buy Irish fashion and to wear it every March.
