Coats You Can Wear Whatever The Weather

Coats You Can Wear Whatever The Weather

How to tackle in-between weather? Find a coat that has a transitional feel to it and won’t look out of season whatever the weather. Here are four fabulous coats to see you through the tricky transitional months to come.

The powder pink shade of this coat looks fresh and spring-like. The hood will keep you warm and dry when the elements go against you, but on milder, brighter days it won’t look odd as it gives this coat, along with the waist-front tie, a strong athleisure feel. This brings an informality to the piece that fits with spring’s more laid-back look.

I always consider khaki to be in the same camp as denim, in so far as it’s a great fabric to transition from one season to the next in. It never looks out of place whatever the weather. This piece can be worn tied at the waist or loose for a more boyish silhouette.

If you’re bold enough, a plastic raincoat is the cover-up to be seen in this spring/summer. Its value for in-between weather is obvious – it’ll keep you dry, won’t look in any way wintry and can be layered up if the temperature decides to plummet again.

Realistically, it’s quite possible we’ll be wearing wool coats up until May. But black and charcoal will begin to look unseasonably dark, so better to invest in one that has a fresher feel to it like this soft blue jacket from Mango. I love the button detailing on the sleeves, and the deep V-neck means you can get away with it even if temperatures aren’t baltic.
