Gasp! Shock! Imaginary celebrity best friend horror! Sarah Jessica Parker, AKA as the world's most polite celebrity, has upset some people.
Last week the actress was shooting some promotional photographs of her shoe collection in New York City - where else? Of course, she simply had to stop at the real-life home of her fictional counterpart, Carrie Bradshaw, to stage her heels for some instagram love.
However, as adorably nostalgic a gimmick it was, there was one minor issue. SJP did not get permission from the apartment owners.?Page Six are reporting that the residents and neighbours of the West Village townhouse that featured in the hit show are ?infuriated?. Apparently the photoshoot, which we thought was majorly cute, was unauthorised. After years of tourists visiting the iconic steps a chain even had to be put across the staircase reading ?Do NOT go on staircase please.? SJP simply ignored this sign - hence the furore.
That's a wrap ladies.

The owners of 66 Perry St., Carrie's home, initally agreed to allowing HBO shoot the show house fa?ade, but it seems they may be regretting it somewhat in the past few years. Sex and the City fans flock to the street every day, and Gerald Banu, president of the Perry Street Association, told Page Six, "The situation with ?SATC? visitors is still very intense. People who live here get upset that the sidewalks are constantly jammed."

So, while Carrie may have fought for the right to shoes, it seems SJP needs to work on an apology...
