Seven of the best boilersuits for spring

Seven of the best boilersuits for spring

The utility trend is strong for spring, and if you want to nail it in one easy-to-wear piece, then a boilersuit is the thing for you. Boilersuits have been made wildly popular this season not just by designers like Stella McCartney and Isabel Marant but by street style stars, who’ve embraced the all-in-ones with fervor.

When choosing a boilersuit for spring, select something in a soft, moveable material as this will make it easier to pull the boilersuit on and off (I’m thinking of bathroom trips here). Rigid denim is not your friend in this scenario. Khaki is my favourite utilitarian shade as the current penchant for beige will leave me and my pale skin looking, well, beige. There are some great boilersuit options in inky blue hues too for others who like to wear shades with more depth in spring/summer. Whatever your style, here are seven boilersuits perfect for spring.

RELATED The one piece that will make transitional dressing a breeze

Marrying a girlish colour such as pink with a masculine silhouette always looks cool.

Pink acid neon wash boilersuit, €80 at topshop.com

Choose a belted boilersuit if you want a more refined silhouette.

Belted boilersuit, €59.95 at Zara

Chic wide legs give this boilersuit a more sophisticated look.

Polyester crepe boilersuit, €75 (was €150) at arket.com

This River Island piece has an elasticated waistband at the back for a more fitted shape.

Khaki utility boilersuit, €75 at River Island

I love how this piece has been styled. A retro lime polo-neck and patent boots look unexpected and modern paired with a utilitarian boilersuit.

Utility boilersuit in golden beige, €40 at monki.com

Made from organic cotton, this boilersuit will offer a really comfortable fit.

Petrol denim boilersuit, €70 at weekday.com

This piece by Cos looks smart enough to wear to the office, which gives the utility trend a cool new twist.
