Seven Instagram accounts you should be following for New York Fashion Week

Fashion month February is finally upon us, and we are buzzing with excitement at what beautiful fashion moments will be gracing our phone screens in the coming weeks. The schedule will see New York Fashion Week kick things off in the Big Apple, before London, Milan and finally Paris follow suit.

NYFW got off to a rousing start last night in the city, from sumptuous textures and jewel tones at Tom Ford to a sea of extravagant florals at Rodarte to the stunning Laverne Cox closing the show at 11 Honoré — a size-inclusive shopping site that provides luxury fashion for sizes 10-20+.

If this is just the beginning of the week, we can’t wait to see what else is coming. We’ll be glued to the Instagram stories of some of the biggest names in New York fashion, and we’re always on the lookout for the closest shots, the best boomerangs and the most beautiful snaps of the fashion coming our way in AW 19.

Check out the seven most interesting influencers to follow this week, as they make their way through NYFW.

Lauren Eggertsen (@laurenegg)

Lauren Eggertsen is the fashion editor of Who What Wear; one of the most up-to-date sites for trend reports, high street hauls and how-to-wear guides. Lauren herself can always be relied on for a feed of high-street and high fashion blended, and taps into the latest trends in a way that never feels overdone or overthought. She’s also one half of the duo behind one of our favourite Instagram accounts The Devils Wear Zara, which, if you couldn’t guess, covers all the trends and must-have items from the high street mecca. Lauren is pictured here with the other half of The Devil duo, Nicole Eshaghpour.

Nicole Eshaghpour (@nicoleakhtarzad)

Of course, it would be rude to include one half of The Devil Wears Zara and not the other — Nicole Eshaghpour is market editor with Who What Wear, and is a fashion powerhouse, just like Lauren. Expect a more pared-back feed of style from Nicole, with covetable casual outfits and considered glimpses of prints and textures.

Thérèse Hellström (@tesshell)

Fashion editor of online lifestyle publication Forni, Thérèse is a veteran of Scandi style. At this time of year, candy-coloured furs, cat-eye sunglasses and contrasting prints are splashed across her feed, with some vintage gems thrown in too (see: the vintage tweed Chanel bag she just bought. Drool).

Charlotte Groeneveld (@thefashionguitar)

If you’re not already following The Fashion Guitar on Instagram, where have you been? Charlotte can be found front and centre of every must-see event in the world of fashion, and her mix of easy style and family life on her feed is a refreshing change from many of the mainstream influencers. Just glancing at her Stories today, we can see her at a Zimmerman dinner, wearing new must-have winter brand Saks Potts, and attending the Tom Ford show at the Park Avenue Armory.

María Bernad (@maria_bernad)

Stylist and Creative Director with Les Fleurs Studio, María is also an established model, which is evident from the stunning shots adorning her feed. Subtely tapping in to every trend from hairclips to boilersuits, María’s style is the epitome of easy, sun-kissed chic (even in winter).

Samantha Barry (@sammybarrynews)

What we so often miss from the Fashion Week sets is some homegrown glamour — lucky for us, editor-in-chief of Glamour Samantha Barry is representing Ireland beautifully. While Samantha spends most of her time behind the camera, directing and producing some of the most interesting covers of the past year from her time at Glamour, her own style is impeccable and will surely show up on the street style blogs over the next few days. Being such a staple in the industry, expect plenty of star-studded snaps and behind-the-scenes glamour (pun not intended) from her.

Leandra Medine Cohen (@leandramcohen)

Founder of the fabulous Man Repeller, Leandra shows a funny and intelligent side to the New York fashion scene. Always with an eclectic outfit in tow, Leandra can be found anywhere from a top show’s front row to a NY bodega with her twin babies (who she also dresses incredibly well). Expect quirky accessories and plenty of humour.
