Planning your big day for 2019? Then this Irish bridal event is for you

Planning your big day for 2019? Then this Irish bridal event is for you

The venue has been secured, your dream dress is waiting to be collected, friends and family have been recruited, the photographer and videographer booked. Flowers have been changed, a second dress secured for the afters (one that’s suitable to dance all night in, of course), and the menu has been tested. What’s left? Hair and makeup.

A quick Google search on how to be a beautiful bride and look wonderful on your wedding day throws up a myriad of ways to modify or amplify your looks via makeup, hair, facial and body treatments to turn you into the vision of the gorgeous Goddess you (may) have in your mind’s eye. But what if you want to just look like, well, you? On the lead-up to your big day, it’s easy to obsess over makeup as if your life depended on it being ABSOLUTELY. PERFECT.

Everything BUT the dress! is a new beauty and style-focused event hosted by award-winning makeup artist Paula Callan and top Irish fashion stylist Sarah Rickard Lantry. Hosted in the Iveagh Garden Hotel, Dublin, on Saturday, January 19, Paula Callan will showcase easy-to-achieve makeup and hair looks suitable for hen parties, rehearsal dinners, the day after the wedding, as well as super easy tips for keeping you looking fab throughout your honeymoon. Callan, who has over 20 years’ experience, will also be giving plenty of skin, hair and makeup advice for the run-up to the big day.

Long-time stylist at IMAGE, Sarah Rickard will be showcasing looks to inspire the bride-to-be on what to wear for any pre or post wedding events as well as tips on creating a capsule honeymoon wardrobe that will have a home in your wardrobe for years.

As well as beauty and style advice, industry experts from wedding venues as well as flower arrangers, photographers and bakers will also be available for advice.

Tickets cost €100 each and include canapés, champagne and a luxury goodie bag. For more information and to book tickets, click here.
