How To Make Animal Print Look Modern

How To Make Animal Print Look Modern

The modish, retro way of wearing animal print feels a little old hat these days. Forget the flick of eyeliner, textured hair and ankle boots that used to be mandatory with a leopard faux fur. Today’s modern woman wears leopard, zebra and snake with a little more imagination and flair. Read on for inspiration.

Dress the print down with a casual sweatshirt or hoodie. There’s nothing Bet Lynch about this ensemble.

Smart loafers dilute down the sexiness of a leopard print. Adding a bright pop of colour underneath draws?focus away from the pattern – animal print?can easily overwhelm an outfit and your silhouette, but it shouldn’t.

Mix your patterns. Animal is tempered by a pretty illustrative print here, and a feminine silhouette in the shape of this neat waisted full skirt.

When reimagined in an unconventional silhouette, animal print looks utterly modern and fresh. Who would have thought of a leopard print puffa jacket?

Embracing a full-on feminine silhouette?turns the traditional image of this “rock chick” print on its head. High heels and a box handbag complete the look.

Convinced? Here are four chic and sophisticated?animal print pieces.
