Kate Middleton has worn a dress by one of our favourite brands during her trip to Ireland

The Duchess of Cambridge stepped out in a dress by The Vampire’s Wife during her Ireland tour. Here’s everything you need to know about the cult fashion brand

We are big fans of fashion brand The Vampire’s Wife here at IMAGE and it seems the Duchess of Cambridge is too.

Yesterday was the first of a three-day trip to the Emerald Isle for the Duke and Duchess, with their first port of call being a visit to Áras an Uachtaráin to meet President Michael D. Higgins. Following that, they took a trip to the Guinness Storehouse, where Kate appeared wearing the shimmering green creation complete with frill sleeves, high neck and fitted bodice.

The Vampire’s Wife is a cult British brand and the brainchild of former model Susie Cave – the wife of singer Nick Cave. Its dresses have been worn by everyone from Sienna Miller to Jennifer Aniston and the brand is known for its highly flattering design aesthetic.

Falconetti emerald metallic silk dress, approx €1825

Both Alexa Chung and Princess Beatrice have donned similar versions of the dress previously. You can now pre-order the Falconetti dress on The Vampire’s Wife website.

It’s an unexpected sartorial move from the Duchess, with The Vampire’s Wife being on the edgy side of the fashion brand spectrum. However, it showed her style credentials and simultaneously remained true to her signature look with its classic shape.

So far she has stuck to a truly green colour palette as earlier in the day she donned a stunning emerald coat by Catherine Walker and printed dress by Alessandra Rich. Today the Duke and Duchess will visit the mental health service Jigsaw, social justice charity Extern, the Marine Institute and MoLI (the Museum of Literature Ireland). Tomorrow they will be making a trip to Galway.

We will be keeping our fashion eyes peeled for the upcoming outfits.
