Our top 15 picks from the new H&M Studio Collection drop

The spring 2020 H&M Studio Collection is released online and in select stores tomorrow and we are taking a look at the best pieces to add to your wardrobe

The H&M Studio Collection is always one of the most anticipated drops of the year.

Studio is the eccentrically fashion-forward sister to the main H&M line and is dotted with more eclectic and investment-type pieces. From tomorrow, the spring 2020 collection will be on sale both online and in select stores and we already have our shopping baskets filled.

The collection is a masterclass in raw and unrefined fashion — in other words, the clothes are the epitome of relaxed luxury.

As the months get warmer and we get closer to the thrill of summer, we want to shed the clothes which blanketed us through the darker days. We want only the most freeing and breathable fabrics on our skin and shapes which sway with us as we move. This compilation does exactly that with easy silhouettes in the form of loose-fitting trousers and oversized shirts.

It is filled with both colours and neutrals, meaning it will appeal to myriad fashion fiends. Splashes of colours and psychedelic prints are placed on blank canvases of white and black dresses, skirts, and tops. Matching separates are made with deconstructed linen and some of the pieces such as the leather trousers, chunky knit jumper and cardigan can be worn now showing the versatility of spring clothing.

The collection is also climate-conscious. H&M has committed itself to a more sustainable future and the Studio Collection possesses pieces made from organic cotton and recycled polyester.

Influencers and celebrities were invited to a special launch of the collection in LA last week, with fashion favourites such as Emma Louise Connolly and Monikh Dale showcasing outfits styled with the new releases.
