Not a fan of a logo? Meet Little Liffner, the simple, yet chic handbags brand

When it comes to handbags, it's often all about the branding. Don't get me wrong, I love a fancy label as much as the next person but if you're making a big investment, it can feel a little risky. Meet Little Liffner, the handbag brand making us totally re-think logos

We all know too well how easily brands can fall in and out of favour. One only has to look at Gucci becoming the ultimate 'it' brand in recent years, to see how quickly a brand can move upwards in the popularity stakes. And that can all happen again.

Little Liffner, which launched in 2012, has been growing in popularity in recent years and I personally can't seem to go on Instagram at the moment without seeing them pop up. You can buy via their website (which ships internationally) or they now also have a selection of their range available on Net-a-Porter.

Whether you're a girl that likes to carry around everything but the kitchen sink, or you're more streamlined, you'll spot something to put on your wish-list.

Personally, I am slightly obsessed with their collection of smaller bags, as they have a really vintage feel to them but always with a twist — like a diagonal handle or unusual sculptural shape.

Digging a little deeper into their bio, this is a big part of their collection, which describes itself as "merging contemporary and old school, to a confident client with no desire to show off labels".

The materials

All the bags are designed in Sweden but handmade in Italy. Although they are still pricey enough, we think they are a great investment as they use good quality materials but without the branding, your bag will stay timeless and elegant forever.

The materials used are of high quality, featuring lots of super-soft calf leather and lined with cotton canvas on the inside.

Who wears them

You know those effortlessly cool girls you see on Instagram? Yes, the ones that can just wear a white t-shirt and jeans and look incredibly stylish. These are who I keep seeing these bags on, and it makes them very hard to resist.

Owner Paulina Liffner Von Sydow wants the owner of the bag to project their own personality and style onto it rather than the other way around. This is why so much of the design is quite sculptural and minimal with very simplistic and classic designs. There is nothing shouty or splashy about these bags, yet they look expensive and uber-cool.

Here are some of our favourites from the collection — start dropping hints for Christmas now.
