It was go camp or go home when it came to this year’s Met Gala theme and some nailed it – and some missed the mark. Either way, the Met Gala’s pink carpet provided some of the most extravagant fashion moments we’ve seen in recent years. But was what we saw enough when it came to the style on display?

The Irish ladies did us immensely proud when it came to their ensembles – and Lady Gaga wowed us all with her four outfit changes in 15 minutes – but many felt the offerings of what should be surefire style hits, such as Kim Kardashian (when she gets it right, she wows), fell a little flat.

To top off our Met coverage we’re veering away from what the stars wore to the main event, and looking at how – and if – they stepped up their game at the Met’s after parties. Kim in a latex, bright blue dress in a sparkling Cher-inspired wig? We’re here for it.

Kylie Jenner’s second mermaid look of the evening? The theme is camp, so she pulls it off. Katy Perry dressed as a burger? It’s real and designed by Moschino designer, Jeremy Scott. And Dakota Johnson’s shimmering Gucci is as gorgeous as her pink-carpet variation.
