Saoirse Ronan is the name Hollywood just can't stop talking about at the moment - when your film is voted the best-reviewed movie ever on Rotten Tomatoes, you know you're onto something - and she has more than earned that critical acclaim. She's been keeping a lowish profile since 2015's Brooklyn was a worldwide success and despite its array of award nominations, she has been choosy; biding her time, preferring to pick the right movies over money makers. She admits to favouring independent films over obvious box-office smashes and the success of her newest film Lady Bird is a testament to the fact that patience pays off. In the fashion stakes, both Vogue and W Magazine - two of the world's most influential style bibles - have given the young actress their seal of approval on more than one occasion, confirming what we all knew already; the woman is a superstar, both on and off screen. Oh, and she's hosting Saturday Night Live this weekend, in case you're in any doubt.
But it isn't just industry insiders and critics she's been impressing. The 24-year-old has seriously upped her game in the style stakes too; evident from her near-perfect outings on the red carpet in recent years. She wowed us in that divine Victoria Beckham LBD, and from her numerous Burberry choices to her colourful Duro Oluwo number to her glorious Gucci number last month, her style is evidently her own - and she makes it work. Remember her amazing YSL gown at the Golden Globes?
She has been a designer-favourite, wearing the likes of Michael Kors, Gucci, Alexander McQueen and Stella McCartney and isn't afraid to experiment either; each look has been vastly different, from her more casual choices to full-blown glamour in that gorgeous cream silk Lavin gown (still a favourite). She is always on trend and more, importantly, dresses for her age.
As we await the Irish release of her new film, we look back at some of her best style moments in our gallery above.
