Five AW19 trends we’ll soon be wearing, according to NYFW

Five AW19 trends we’ll soon be wearing, according to NYFW

As New York Fashion Week unfolds the trends we’ll be wearing six months from now, we’re spotlighting the top five worth noting for AW19.

The most covetable collections of NYFW brought fresh tailoring, neon green shades (stay with me), loud block colours and all-white ensembles. Although, expect some trends interspersed with repetition (florals, you’re not going anywhere). Prabal Gurung introduced joyfully bright interpretations for AW19; a trend worth integrating into your cold weather wardrobe – it’ll instantly brighten up your autumnal style. Tibi produced a stand-out contemporary collection in neutral colours and pastel tones – from long silky blouses layered with knee-length skirts; one any working woman would adore.

Fancy florals aren’t going anywhere for AW19, so stock up this spring while you’re ahead. Carolina Herrera took a more modern approach than her previous collections, introducing more languid shapes and shorter hemlines, yet continued to bloom in ruffled textures. Zimmerman also delivered dreamy florals, pairing them with butter-soft leather trenches and oh-so-french berets. A handful of designers – Sies Marjan, Brandon Maxwell, Anna Sui – showcased ripe green hues in glossy silks and embroidered designs.

If you haven’t already witnessed Ralph Lauren’s breathtaking show on social, where he transformed his historical flagship store into a chic brasserie, you need to follow-up. Fashion insiders sipped through a liquid New York style brunch, gazing upon a soirée of clean white tailoring, which I predict will be AW19’s most desired trend of the season.

On that note, I’ve put together a curated edit of the five trends that are all ahead of us for AW19.
