Fashion’s love affair with the cold shoulder continues… here’s how to shop the look

Fashion’s love affair with the cold shoulder continues… here’s how to shop the look

You can keep your Angelina Jolie thigh-high split. For me, a woman’s shoulder is possibly the most erogenous of body parts. And I’m not the only one who thinks so given that the cold shoulder trend shows no sign of fading from the international runways or the local high street. If you’re as mesmerised by Temperley’s girls (above) as I am, take a look at the shopping list below…

This is such a pretty dress; the powder blue print reminds me of sand and sea, while the tiered hemline adds a girlishness perfect for summer. I love how it’s been styled over jeans. It creates a strong contrast between the prettiness of the dress and utilitarianism of denim.

Cold shoulder dress, €22.99 at H&M

This Mango dress offers a lovely juxtaposition between the sexiness of cold shoulders and the conservatism of a button-up shirt dress. I also love the dainty print, which will flatter pretty much any body shape.

Ruffles dress, €29.95 at Mango

This Massimo Dutti top looks so fresh and will add a simple, understated glamour to every outfit. Pair it with a tiered maxi skirt if you want to embrace an utterly boho look for spring/summer.

Cotton shirt with textured weave and puff sleeves, €59.95 at Massimo Dutti

Thinking of updating your denim? This gorgeous pale blue denim dress from Zara is fabulous. It’s elegant, but totally modern too. The sweetheart neckline in addition to the cold shoulders bring a real femininity to this piece.

Off the shoulder dress, €39.95 at Zara

I think a cable knit sweater is the loveliest throw-on in spring/summer. This River Island version comes in Bardot style for a sexy take on summer knitwear.
