Colour-clash: Five outfits to brighten up your wardrobe

The skies may finally be getting a little greyer but in IMAGE HQ, we’re all about the colour. Fashion rules may dictate that we have to pair a strong shade with neutrals, or that we must keep to the colour-wheel when matching our pieces. Not so, readers. Summer 2018 is a technicolour dream, and rules go out the window when it comes to this trend.

When you’re next out to add to your wardrobe, keep an eye out for strong, vibrant pieces that may not traditionally suit each other, but while on, feel just right. Pinks and reds, for example, have always been slated as clashing but can be seen all over the high street in outfits as fashion-forward as the menocore trend that has popped up in recent months. It really is a year of two trends – neutral linens and cool tones vs diving into a Crayola wonderland. We know which one we’d rather wear.
