Carrie Bradshaw heels are a thing again and here are 10 of the best

Carrie Bradshaw heels are a thing again and here are 10 of the best

When I say Carrie Bradshaw heels, what image comes to your mind?

Is it a kitten heel, a strappy sandal, pastel mule or a pointed toe? Well, it’s each and every one of them. And in recent times, these shoe styles have taken off again and are now taking over our Instagram feeds.

For me, Carrie’s shoe style was defined by strappy heels and mules. And personally, I love a good ‘Carrie’ shoe, whereas my friends do not. They are of the opinion that these styles are dated and need to be kept in the late nineties and early noughties–not rehashed for the modern woman.

These new styles have Sex and the City written all over them. With a distinct nineties look and feel, they are the perfect form of nostalgia. Think bootleg jeans with a pointed toe peaking out from beneath and a mini skirt accessorised with a strappy mule.

These shoes are actually quite flattering, elegant and extremely wearable. The mule style provides the illusion of length because there are no ankle straps cutting your leg in awkward places. And the strappier styles provide stability, which means wobbling and hobbling as you walk will be a thing of the past.

Their versatility is boundless and when paired with a straight leg jean, midi dress, skirt or whatever your sartorial heart fancies, the look will be chic and modern.

And if they were good enough for Carrie, then they’re good enough for us.

Our inspiration
