The Best Slogan Tops For Introverts

The Best Slogan Tops For Introverts

I find bold statements?on clothes off-putting – they’re a little too shouty for me. Yet slogan sweaters?continue to appear on the catwalks and high street season after season. So I’ve started looking for a more subtle way to embrace the trend. Here are four?of the best slogan tops for women who like to keep in step without shouting about it.

This is an expensive T-shirt by any standards, but I love the sentiment of the slogan, the discreet graphic and the simplicity of the overall piece. It’s one to watch in the sales.

Cotton-jersey T-shirt, Givenchy, €290 at net-a-porter.com

Again, this sweater offers a neat graphic that doesn’t overwhelm. I love the contrast between the softness of the pink velvet and the urbanity of a slouchy sweatshirt.

Velvet batwing sweatshirt, €42 at Topshop

This Maje jumper kind of subverts the whole idea of a slogan sweater because it doesn’t make a statement at all, but that’s why I like it. It nods to the trend with its prominent script, but there’s nothing political about it. Rue Saint-Andre des Arts is a location in Paris. I love the vibrant red hue too.

Wool sweater with writing, €136.50 (reduced from €195) at Maje

There are no more words required here, apart from a smiley face perhaps. I really like the slightly child-like, joined-up writing on this top. It’s the perfect piece for wearing when you’re feeling laid-back and want to look low-key, but not as if you’ve let yourself go.

Embroidered cotton-jersey top, Chinti + Parker, €125 at net-a-porter.com
