Our Pick of Archive By Alexa For M&S

Our Pick of Archive By Alexa For M&S

We’ve been talking about it for at least two months. Now we can finally shop Archive By Alexa For M&S. The model, presenter and girl about town?has delved deep into the Marks & Spencer archive to unearth her?favourite pieces, which have been’the inspiration for this latest launch.

The collection very much reflects Chung’s own personal style – a little bit geek chic with a strong heritage vibe. It offers a tight?edit of separates, and for the’most part the pieces don’t’require the 32-year-old’s?enviable model proportions to appear’sexy and chic?(in the case of the Dot Tea Dress and Paisley Dress, I’m not so sure; I suspect I’d look frumpy rather than fresh).

Whether you’re a fan of Chung’s style or not, there’s some key classics in the collection that can be snapped up for no more than the price of a Per Una or Limited Edition piece. Here are our top picks from the new collection.

This striped longline shirt was inspired by the 1940s menswear archive. We love its boyish vibe and I’ll?be pairing it with’spring’s pyjama-style pants or silk joggers.

Edna

The Edna Shirt, €53?

Gingham cigarette trousers are so Brigitte Bardot. These would look great worn, Alexa-style, with brogues, or dress down’the look with a pair of white trainers.

The Lydia Trousers, €53

This vintage tea dress is a really flattering choice, especially if you’d rather cover your arms and your knees as many of us would. I’d style it with a black blazer and a pair of tan block-heel sandals.

Dress

The Misty Dress, €68

I firmly believe in the idea of a capsule wardrobe, but one thing you can never enough of is blazers. This metallic button, double-breasted blazer will never go out of style.

Untitled

The Ada Blazer, €74

Underwear as outerwear is one of the biggest trends this season. If you’re not into full-on slip dressing, this pretty camisole will pay a subtle nod to the trend instead.
