4 Knitwear Pieces To Keep Out The Cold

4 Knitwear Pieces To Keep Out The Cold

It’s September!…?the breeze is?robust, rain is looming and all I can think about now is knitwear. I’m ready to box away my open-toed shoes and swaddle myself in super-long scarves and chunky sweaters. My shopping list is lengthy, but here are five of my favourite new-season knits.

This is one of Zara’s best seasons for knitwear, but this gorgeous fuchsia cardigan stands out for me. I love the richness of the shade – it will add warmth of neutrals and my pasty complexion in winter – and the slightly voluminous sleeves, which make it feel more fashion forward.

The trick to livening up your autumn wardrobe, especially if it’s anchored by neutrals, is to embrace texture. I love the contrasting body and sleeves of this M.I.H Jeans sweater. The front has a brushed effect, while the sleeves are more closely knit.?It gives the piece a really tactile look.

Massimo Dutti’s Limited Edition Collection is exquisite this year. This polo-neck?cable knit is elevated by way of the statement shade of red. Layer it up with varying berry tones for a high-fashion look.

Both the Boutique and Unique collections at Topshop offer pieces with a really strong design aesthetic. I love how this understated ribbed jumper has been given a chic twist by way of a simple circular cut-out.

I love the homespun feel of this Zara crochet jumper, yet it looks so modern when paired with boyish pants and metallic heels.
