Feeling like there might be a summer of love on the horizon? These paisley-printed beauties will have your wardrobe well-prepped for a love-in
The 70's have experienced a major revival as of late, with Marc Jacobs, Zimmermann and Tommy Hilfiger all weighing in with their interpretations of the dreamy disco aesthetic.

The origins of the design stem back to Persian (Iranian) origin, where it began to spread across Asia and India in the 16th century. For generations, the print was adopted by countries across the Middle East and eventually into Europe, where people developed a penchant for paisley shawls. In the 1800s, weavers from the town of Paisley in Renfrewshire, Scotland became the prime producers of these shawls, which is where the print got its name.

Delve into your mam or nana's wardrobe, where you'll no doubt find paisley shirts, scarves and dresses that will whet your appetite for the trend, and keep you elevated above the rest of the high street imitations. But if you haven't got access to a relative's vintage treasures (or they're still wearing them to this day), these imitations do a pretty convincing job.
