Taste of Dublin is back this weekend: here’s everything you should see and do

Dublin’s best festival for foodie lovers is back — Taste of Dublin is returning to the Iveagh Gardens this weekend, with all the food, wine and entertainment you could want. Stuck on where to start? Check out our top picks of what to do, see and taste.

Are you ready for three days of food and drink heaven? Taste of Dublin is returning to the city this weekend, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store. From June 13-16, the Iveagh Gardens will be filled with over 20 top restaurants, world-class chefs, interactive masterclasses, delectable drinks and live entertainment. Now in its 14th year, Taste are championing Irish chefs and producers, who take culinary risks in the pursuit of the perfect dish.

It can be hard to know where to head first over the weekend, but fear not — we’ve got the guide to where you should check out at Taste of Dublin this weekend.

Fashion & Food, Friday from 12 pm to 4 pm

Kick the weekend off in style by heading to Friday Fashion & Food — the perfect excuse to dress up and enjoy prosecco, beats and bites in the gorgeous surroundings of the Iveagh Gardens. Pastry Chef Aoife Noonan will take to The NEFF Taste Kitchen stage to whip up some sweet treats as well as Holly White, Jenny Maltese and loads more.

The Daily Specials

If there’s one thing that always stands out at Taste, it’s the amount of variety — food from every corner of the globe for every taste you could want. Over the course of the weekend, there’ll be a new daily special to feast your eyes (and taste buds) on, from healthy fast food restaurant and new addition to the Dublin scene Leon on June 13, to VIETNOM, a vegan Vietnamese restaurant on June 16. Check out the full line-up below:

  • Thursday June 13: Grálinn and LEON
  • Friday June 14: Lil Portie and Bowls by Kwanghi
  • Saturday June 15: Bowls by Kwanghi and Jaru
  • Sunday June 16: Shaka Poké and VIETNOM

The Ketel One Kitchen

If, like us, you’re partial to a good boozy brunch of a summer weekend, then the Ketel One Kitchen will be your favourite place at Taste of Dublin. You can purchase your own VIP Brunch ticket, which includes the Taste VIP experience, plus a brunch dish from San Lorenzo’s and a delicious Ketel One Bloody Mary cocktail. Or, if you want to learn the ropes yourself, head along on the Thursday and Friday to the Cocktail Masterclass, where you can meet celebrated food writer, author and stylist Anna Barnett, who will take you through her newly-curated menu of canapes to accompany Ketel One’s new Botanical Spritz collection.

The Fire Pit

Here’s hoping the weather will hold up for this one! The KSG Fire Pit will feature the most delicious Avant Garde barbeque dishes, cooked by KSG Chef and Fáilte Ireland Food Ambassador Chef John Relihan, Chef Jack O’Keefe and Chef James Keogh. Better yet, the BBQ will be open across all four days of the festival.

The Entertainment Stage

Once you’ve had your fill of the stunning food and drink on offer, head over to the Entertainment stage to burn it all off again. With acts like the Swing Cats, Ryan J, the Runaways and Smash Hits, it’s the perfect way to round off the day at Taste of Dublin.

Tickets from €15 are on sale now, for more info or to purchase tickets go to: www.dublin.tastefestivals.com.
