More than 20 years ago, Marie Hunt, who hails from Co. Mayo, established the research department at property consultants CBRE Ireland. The company is now regarded as one of the most authoritative sources of property information in the Irish market.

A well-respected businesswoman and regular commentator in the Irish media on business and property matters, Marie produces a range of property-focused publications. She also carries out specialist consultancy work on behalf of institutional, private and public sector clients. Over the last number of years, Marie has advised many international investors and occupiers who have established operations in Ireland or acquired Irish real estate assets, and she even represented the property industry at the Irish Banking Inquiry.

Marie is an Executive Director of CBRE in Ireland and is actively involved in the firm’s business in EMEA. Marie is a chartered surveyor and a Fellow of the Society of Chartered Surveyors, Ireland.  She also has a post-graduate diploma in public relations. Marie is a board member of the Irish charity To Children with Love and was also involved in the WOW (Women Empowering Women) mentoring initiative.

What's more, she's on the Brexit Committee of the British Irish Chamber of Commerce and is also the current chairperson of the Russian Irish Adoption Group. In 2017, Marie was awarded Management Professional of the Year in the Image Businesswoman of the Year awards.

Lolly Strahan, Managing Director of Lolly and Cooks

Lolly Strahan is the founder and Managing Director of Dublin-based café chain Lolly and Cooks. She has worked in the food and hospitality sector all of her career, which started by working in Cavistons deli in Glasthule on her school holidays.

A two-year stint in London, from 2006 to 2008, prompted her to come home and open Lolly and Cooks. In London, she worked briefly for Irish restauranteur Oliver Peyton and was largely involved in the launch of his bakery chain Peyton & Byrne. She counts herself lucky to have been thrown in the deep end of this project, as it taught her about running a business. She was also inspired by the design elements involved in creating of a brand.

Lolly and Cooks food proved popular and earned itself a good reputation. Strahan created a sausage roll that remains a big hit and was dubbed ‘the savage roll’ by hungry customers. In 2012, her sister Churpy joined her as a business partner, and together they opened their second unit on Merrion Street. Since then, they have opened a further four cafes in Grand Canal Dock, Herbert Park, Holles Street and Windmill Lane. The sisters also operated The Dock Restaurant in the Law Library in Smithfield.

Sinéad Cassidy, Sales and Marketing Manager of Galway Races

A marketing and public relations graduate, Sinéad Cassidy has developed an extremely successful career over the years. Since 2016, Sinéad has been the sales and marketing manager of the Galway Racecourse.

Previously, Sinéad worked as a sales and PR manager at the five-star g Hotel & Spa, and before this, she held a number of high profile positions; including Press Officer for the National Ploughing Championships, as well as being Marketing Manager for Supermacs and Account Director at Spirit Retail Marketing.
