IMAGE Young Businesswoman’s Forum: Career Switching Founders, July 17th

One could call our next YBF panel a high-end version of the career switchers. Our speakers began life on one career path, but made a brave decision, took a risk and went out on their own to found their own businesses. We love women who follow their dreams and make work ‘work’ for them.

Mairead Ronan is a TV presenter who created her own hairbrush business – FARO; Lucy McPhail started out as a fashion buyer in Dublin and now is CEO and founder of Fetch Beauty; and Sabrina Kevany left her job as an art director in an ad agency to start up her luxury Alpaca textile business called Simple Things. These inspirational women are coming together for one fabulous IMAGE evening in The Westbury. Bring old friends and leave with new ones, goodies and a feeling that anything is achievable.

When: July 17th
from 6pm – 8.30pm
Where: The Westbury hotel, Dublin 2
Tickets  €45*

Mairead Ronaan

Mairead Ronan

Mairead Ronan has been a busy woman and at this stage, could probably say that she’s been in every household in Ireland, in some shape or form! She was part of the ground-breaking and award-winning Ray D’Arcy Show on Today FM for 11 years and during her time on the show, Mairead became one of the most loved and recognisable voices on Irish radio, speaking to hundreds of thousands of people each and every morning. When she decided it was time for a change of scenery, Mairead moved behind the mic and added yet another string to her bow, taking the reigns as Senior Producer on The Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show for two years. It doesn’t stop there! Mairead, who is a mum of two with a third on the way, is also a successful businesswoman and launched her own hair care brand, Faro, in 2016. In less than two years, FARO has gone from strength to strength and has established a secure place in a very competitive industry.
