IMAGE Business of Beauty Awards 2018: Social Pictures

The fifth annual Business of Beauty Awards took place at the Clayton Burlington Hotel last night, Sunday the 15th April. Guests were greeted by exclusive Tanqueray cocktails, complete with our own Business of Beauty logo, and other offerings from Marks and Spencers and Ciroc. With a pink carpet, selfie mirror and amazing red lips couch, there were plenty of opportunities for a photo shoot, which many of the guests took full advantage of.

The festivities kicked off with an opening performance by Ireland’s Got Talent sensation Paul Ryder, who danced and sang to The Greatest Show from musical The Greatest Showman. From there, the evening was led by the MC’s, TV host and stylist Darren Kennedy and IMAGE contributing editor Melanie Morris. There were countless opportunities throughout the night to win prizes, from a €2500 holiday voucher courtesy of Lanai Blo to an exclusive cocktail masterclass in the Liquor Rooms, courtesy of Diageo Ireland.

The guests were in full form, taking part in every competition to snag a prize, including showing off their tan lines for a personal photo shoot with Cocoa Brown to shaking their stuff to Taylor Swift for a chance to win tickets from 2FM. But their voices were loudest in support of the evening’s winners, from Bronze winners to Gold. The first section of awards was for Innovation and included prizes for the Most Innovative Brand Collaboration and Most Innovative Irish Brand. This was followed by the main course, while the guests geared up for the individual awards, for powerhouses in the beauty industry who represented their brand to the highest standard.

The final awards of the night were for the salons, which were met with huge applause from the audience. The evening was finished with a rousing closing speech by IMAGE CEO Clodagh Edwards before the guests began to file out towards the afterparty in House Dublin on Lower Leeson Street.

Bring on next year’s festivities!
