The Winding Stair

If you’re looking for pitch-perfect atmosphere and innovative home-cooking using only the very best Irish ingredients, never mind a killer view, look no further. This is our favourite go-to for visiting dignitaries (well, friends and family).? It’s also an especially good stop pre-theatre for both Abbey and Gate. Our favourite line-up goes something like this: McGeough’s Black Pudding Fritters followed by McLoughlin’s Lamb Rump (the mint and caper sauce is lustworthy) and Sticky Pear and Ginger Cake slathered in rich vanilla ice cream. The rib-eye is equally standout. Book well ahead to snare the window seats – the Liffey never looked so pretty.WINDING_STAR_PAGE_2

Top Table?Any next to the windows overlooking Ha?penny Bridge.

What to Drink?Experiment liberally within their micro-brewery and wine edit.

Who to Bring?People from abroad, it never fails to wow.

Don’t Leave Without?Checking out the cheeseboard laden with goodies.

In the know? You can stage a takeover, they will cater private events for up to 65 people.
