Despite the?official JDIFF ’15 launch party?taking place later on tonight, this year’s programme was officially unveiled this morning and we’re literally bursting with excitement! The festival, which will take place from the 19th-29th of March, is welcoming a stunning and diverse array of filmmaking talent from around the globe.

Over the course of the festival, over 130 films will be screened and there will be over sixty special guests from both Ireland and abroad including Julie Walters, Russell Crowe, Kenneth Brannagh, Jack Reynor, Robbie Sheehan and more.

Some of the standout events include screenings of Cinderella(Kenneth Brannagh), A Little Chaos(Alan Rickman) and Russell Crowe’s directorial debut The Water Diviner. Dame Julie Andrews and Kenneth Brannagh will both be honoured with a Volta award(named after Ireland’s first cinema theatre) for their contribution to the world of film. Andrews will then close the festival with a screening of the classic Sound Of Music and a Q&A session in the Bord G?is Energy Theatre.

There’ll also be plenty of exciting Irish talent on show including directors Gerard Barrett’s Glassland, Brian O’Malley’s Let Us Prey, Vivienne De Courcy’s Dare To Be Wild and many more. Actor Robbie Sheehan will be there too for a screening of his new film The Road Within and he’ll also participate in the Actors in Conversation event.

Gr?inne Humphreys, Festival Director, Jameson Dublin International Film Festival says:

?This year’s festival will again celebrate the best of contemporary world cinema, bringing the work of both the established and emerging filmmakers to Dublin over 11 glittering days and nights. It’s going to be a very special year – we have a dazzling array of films and a guest list which has taken years to assemble. This festival belongs to our audiences who come in such great numbers, we have expanded the programme to accommodate new venues and screenings, each year we relish the challenge to excite, educate?and entertain the best cinema audiences in the world?
