A host of fashionable folk turned out in Arnotts Department store last night for the launch of the Arnotts SS16 Season Launch Event. Guests included Aoife Walsh, Laura Mullet and Courtney Smith.

A new set concept was created by Chalk Creative agency duo Niamh O Rourke and Caroline Reynolds for the night.

Romanticism is a key feature on the Spring Summer 16 catwalks with and collections are driven by a sense of femininity and nostalgia, with a focus on the art of premium craftsmanship and attention to detail. Classic 1970s shapes are reworked in contemporary silhouettes: kick-flares, jumpsuits, culottes and bohemian dresses are the focus of this trend, with cool linen and super fine cotton working simple silhouettes. Modern separates, wide leg trousers and tailored jackets create a modern aesthetic and a layered, lightweight look.

Arnotts have added some new Irish brands including Caroline Matthews, FeeG and Aideen Bodkin and in?accessories?they welcome Susannah Grogan, Ale Walsh and The Kinsale Leather Company. New additions this season also include Strenesse, Caractere and BCBG.
