On Wednesday April 27th, 2016, a select group of Irish media, bloggers and VIP’s gathered at The Marker Hotel, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin 2 to begin the countdown to Aer Lingus? new direct route to Los Angeles which will commence in just seven days, on 4th May. In typical LA fashion, the sleek and sophisticated breakfast event touched on all aspects of the Hollywood lifestyle as guests were invited to take part in a fitness class, enjoy a healthy snack and indulge in a hair transformation at the hands of the a celebrity stylist.

MC Courtney Smith, fashion stylist, greeted guests and introduced them to Lauren Bamford who was there to teach a ?Hoop-Yoga? class which is a fusion of hula-hooping and yoga and is a hot fitness trend in LA. Following this, guests took in a light and healthy breakfast including paleo balls, seasonal fruits, protein smoothie shots and energising green juices.

Session stylist Lydia O’Carroll demoed a Coachella-inspired beachy boho hairstyle. Lydia, originally from Dublin, has spent years working in California, tending the tresses of Victoria Secret models and many others.

With fitness, food and beautiful hair taken care of, it was time for the big reveal, an exclusive performance by Venice Beach street crew The Calypso Tumblers. Flown in from LA by Aer Lingus exclusively for the event, the 5 male dancers, acrobats, gymnasts and contortionists amazed and entertained the crowd with their breakdancing. The crew have previously performed on Good Morning America?and The Today Show in the US and also reached the semi-finals of America’s Got Talent Season 2.
