There comes a time (such as this when someone horrendously unfit is chosen to run the most powerful country in the world...) when we must stand together to help and support one another. Whether at home or abroad, here is a list of useful organizations you can donate to or volunteer with right now to help make a positive difference.

But here is a useful list of Irish and international organisations?you can donate to or volunteer with who are working to support, help and educate people and save the planet.?If you do one good thing today, make it this.


The National Women's Council of Ireland has been celebrating and preserving women's rights for over 40 years. Their mission is simple; to be a catalyst for change in the achievement of equality between women and men here in Ireland. They support women in leadership, our reproductive choices, women's economic independence?and supporting women's movements among other things. Donate, fundraise, or volunteer with them here.


ActionAid supports women's rights on a global scale and right now are working to support women and girls most affected by poverty. They work with communities to end gender-based violence and train women in the skills they need to earn a living. Donate to their cause and take action here.

The Irish Feminist Network?is a nationwide progressive organisation committed to promoting gender equality in Ireland. They're very active in the female community here and are always looking for women and men to volunteer, write a blog post, or attend a workshop. Get in touch with them here.

Since 1993, Women For Women International?has helped more than 447,000'marginalised women in eight different countries affected by war and conflict. The Immigrant Council of Ireland is committed to supporting and improving the rights of our migrants and their families - and their cause is particularly vital right now. They provide a wealth of information about migrant laws, as well as'some free?legal representation (which may be extremely useful at this time). Donate to their cause here.

The Irish Immigrant Support Centre is another vital immigrant service that protects human rights and actively campaigns for change. Their office (located at Dominick St, Shandon, in Cork) provides a free walk-in legal clinic. Make a regular or one-off payment, fundraise, or campaign with them here. Similarly, the Irish Refugee Council works for a fair and inclusive Irish society for people seeking protection.



Friends Of The Earth Ireland campaigns for a sustainable, healthy future along with 70 other countries. They believe (unlike others, ahem)?that there are limits to what we can take from the environment and to the pollution and waste we can dump into the environment without consequence. The Irish Environmental Network are big on wildlife conservation and climate change and have over 35,000'members working throughout the country protecting and enhancing the natural environment.
