Last week saw the fashion press descend on Newbridge Silverware’s Museum of Style Icons in Kildare to hear a talk by Kerry Taylor, the UK’s leading expert on vintage fashion and couture. Set amongst the impressive collection of iconic pieces in the museum, it was a scintillating morning. We heard the story of Kerry’s various sales; she has had many Princess Diana and Audrey Hepburn pieces pass through her hands, as well as vintage couture pieces that are exceptionally relevant to the overall story of the fashion industry’s progression. Kerry told amazing tales of how she finds treasures hidden in attics and basements all over Europe. Overall it was a fascinating way to spend a morning.

See what Kerry has in her upcoming auctions here and what memorable pieces you can see in Newbridge here too. We think it’s well worth a fashion pilgrimage.
