Diep Le Shaker

For more than 10 years Diep Le Shaker has been the go-to place for upmarket Thai in Dublin and although the years have passed Diep’s appeal has not. The younger generation Farrells, Alexandra and Matt, are now running the show but its patrician standards have not slipped one bit and Diep continues to deliver on its promise of Royal Thai Cuisine. And when you are snugly ensconced at one of their smartly set tables, sipping something bubbly you can’t help but feel a little regal.? Meanwhile in the kitchen, Australian chef Bradley Stoward flies essential ingredients over from Bangkok and uses them to create superb signature dishes like whole steamed sea bass infused with lemongrass and coriander served with fresh lime, galangal, garlic and chilli and a fantastic dish of Connemara lamb rump marinated in Diep select herbs, char-grilled pink, and served with morning glory and chilli dip ??truly glorious at any time of day.

Who to bring The relaxed elegance of the place makes it a perfect spot to host clients, treat an aged aunt or impress your new beau.

Indulge Pass on pud and treat yourself to a dessert cocktail instead ??you can’t go wrong with an Espresso Martini or a Diep Mint Aero for something different.

Lean and lovely Thai food is fantastic for calorie-counters as it’s full of flavour but low on animal fat ??the Yum Nua salad of grilled beef with cucumber, mint, coriander, chilli and lime couldn’t be more aptly named, or virtuous!

In the know Diep Le Shaker has been awarded the prestigious Thailand Brand Award by the Government of Thailand for authentic cuisine.

On the move They also own take away arm Diep At Home and Diep Noodle Bar at Dublin Airport’s Terminal 2.
