World’s Most Expensive Cities

New York City skyline.

The world’s most expensive cities have just been revealed and we’re pretty surprised to see that Dublin’s fair city has escaped the list. Have we gotten better in recent times? Perhaps in contrast to the hot spots below, but we’ve still got a long way to go.

As you can see, London has beaten Hong Kong to the infamous punch line as the most expensive city in the world to work and live in. And here we have almost every second person in their 20s and 30s making the leap across the pond in search of better opportunities.

Does this list seem about right to you? The list comes in from new research conducted by Savills.

1. London

2. Hong Kong

3. New York

4. Paris

5. Tokyo

6. Singapore

7. Moscow

8. Sydney

9. Dubai

10. Shanghai

11. Rio de Janeiro

12. Mumbai
