The Irish Body Painting Festival is a four-day painting event that combines the world of art with the human anatomy. Taking place at The Back Loft in Dublin, visitors will be treated to demos, workshops, competitions, retail, networking, and everything else in between. Competitions will be held next Sunday, February 26th for face and body painting and freestyle, and the theme is ‘sweet dreams’. Prices vary for artists to take part, but general entry to the final shows are free to the public but booking is required as space is limited. The Gallery of Photography, located at The Meeting House Square, will host a workshop today focused on lighting and portrait for fashion photography.?This one-day practical workshop at the Gallery of Photography Ireland will explore the important role of lighting in portraiture and facilitate you with an understanding of light sources. Experienced photographer Sean Jackson will explain the qualities and possibilities with the language of light and the basic technical skills of studio lighting to aid you in developing your own light language. Offset returns to Dublin this weekend for three days of all things design.?Since its inception in Dublin in 2009, the festival has become one of the world’s most important creative events, each year hosting 24 of the most inspirational speakers at the Bord G?is Energy Theatre.
