The folks over at Bodytonic are an industrious lot with their carousel of genuinely cool events pencilled in the diary of every Dubliner worth their salt. They’re also an under the radar?philanthropic crew, and this Friday be helping the children of Temple Street Hospital with their Bring the Toys event in their new?Phibsborough bar, The Back Page. It’s also Toy Show night folks so The Back Page will have Ryan and his army of children reviewers on the big telly.

In addition to the Toy Show streaming on all screens, there will be comedy, mulled wine, live music, a dodgy jumper competition and DJs. Whether or not they’ll the type of DJs that will respond favourably to your incessant (mulled) chants for Wham! remains to be seen.

So to join in the giving bring a toy along to the pub where staff will be hand to take your donations. If you are gifting furry or cuddly toys make sure they are new and in packaging. Games, books, CD’s, and all other toys are pretty much good to go. Should a quick trip to Smyths not be doable, bring cash. Cash is always good.
