Vintage weddings, charity sales and art classes: IMAGE-approved events for the weekend ahead

It may be wintery outside, but our sights are firmly set on spring — whether that’s a spring clearout with a charity designer sale, or a springtime wedding on the horizon at the vintage wedding fair. We feel brighter already. Happy weekend from IMAGE!

On Saturday: Let your creative side loose at Drink & Draw at Krüst Bakery

A BYOB art party? What more could you want from a Saturday night? This cool event in Krüst on George’s Street is the perfect way to spend a Saturday if you want something new and fun, but don’t want a rager of a night out. Create your masterpiece in a chilled atmosphere (with plenty of wine) and who knows, you may even find a hidden talent for the arts.

On Saturday: Bag a bargain at the Donna Ida x Parkadays Pop-Up in the Westbury

On the lookout for the perfect pair of denim jeans? The Westbury on Saturday is where you need to be to find them. Donna Ida, a luxury denim brand, has a special focus on helping women find the jeans shape that fits them perfectly. If you’ve been struggling to figure yours out, they’ll have a personal fitting service to find the pair that suits your body, plus there’s 20% off on all Donna Ida pieces too.

On Sunday: Shop for a great cause at the New to You sale at the RDS

This massive charity sale, now in its seventh year, is back to the RDS to provide us fashion-lovers with the pre-loved designer pieces of our dreams. All in aid of St. Michael’s House, a charity that helps those with special needs in Dublin, their Instagram page’s teasers of the pieces available already has us salivating (Simone Rocha and Jimmy Choo, hello?) but the extra perks, like fashion shows and auctions, are the icing on the cake. Free entry, on from 11 am to 5 pm.

On Sunday: Start planning at the Spectacular Vintage & Bespoke Wedding Fair

If you’re beginning to plan your big day and are thinking of going down the vintage-inspired route, this one-day wedding fair in St. Stephen’s Green on Sunday is the perfect day out. Featuring vendors specialising in flowers, photography, bridalwear and cakes to help you plan your big day, we can only imagine the gorgeous ideas that will spring from the day. Tickets still available from €5.
