This charming cottage near Kenmare Bay is on the market for €285,000

Originally built in the late 1800s, the property was extensively renovated in 1999 but still retains all of its old-time character and charm.

Nestled snugly down in Glanbeg, Caherdaniel, this beautiful stone-front cottage is only 400 metres from the beach at Carroll’s Cove, Co Kerry. Surrounded by nature on all sides, the property sits on 8.3 acres of land, with panoramic views of the nearby Kenmare Bay below.

Inside, the front door opens into the open plan living room/kitchen/dining area. A cosy fireplace and two comfortable couches lie to one side, with in-built shelving providing space for books and other accoutrements.

The kitchen/dining area is to the other side of the room, where light blue cabinets, a dishwasher, fridge and oven line the walls. A table with four chairs sits in the corner of the room by the window. Both the floor and the wall behind the countertop have been tiled for easy cleaning.

Both bedrooms can be found upstairs on the first floor, along with the bathroom which has both a bath and an electric shower. Wooden flooring runs throughout the upstairs which is bright and light-filled thanks to windows in each of the bedrooms. Fitted wardrobes, drawers and dressing tables have been added to both rooms as well.

A utility room with a corrugated roof has been attached to the main house. Accessed via a separate door, this area contains a washing machine and dryer. The plot of land has a southerly-facing aspect and is elevated to provide stunning views of the glistening crystal blue sea nearby, with the beach and Derrynane Hotel only within a short walk.

Caherdaniel Village itself is only 1.5 km away, while the beaches in Caherdaniel are 4.5 km away. West Cove can be reached in 2km.

You can take a tour of the beautiful property below which is on sale through Sherry FitzGerald.
