Now that Met Éireann has lifted all weather warnings for Ireland, we’re looking at some of the best photos and videos from the menacing Storm Dennis


Gusts of up to 120 km/hr were recorded in Galway as Storm Dennis swept the country this weekend. Not only did it leave 18,000 homes and businesses without power on Sunday afternoon, but people from all over Ireland reported sleepless nights as wind, rain and hail battered their windows.

While the ESB has restored power to the majority of those affected, there are still 2,400 waiting for theirs to be fixed. Now, as everyone gradually returns to life-as-normal this Monday, we’re looking back on some of the best photos and videos of the weekend gone by. From fallen trees to wild waves, here are our favourites:
