The Lir Academy’s Fundraising Dinner celebrates Ireland’s next generation of theatre-makers. It was held in Dublin’s theatre restaurant Trocadero, celebrating 60 years in Dublin this year. The Lir invited the arts, business and theatre communities to come together and help raise funds for The Lir’s Education Bursary Scheme.? The Bursary Scheme provides financial assistance to disadvantaged young people who demonstrate talent and potential but do not have the financial means to enrol as a student at The Lir at Trinity College Dublin. ?Trocadero hosted a theatre-filled evening with guests hailing from Ireland’s arts and theatre communities such as Landmark Productions, Riverdance, Cork Midsummer, Galway’s Druid Theatre Company, Project Arts Centre, The Gate Theatre amongst others.
