Social Pics: Irish Whiskey Museum Double Celebrations At McDonnell’s Bar

On Tuesday 28th November, owners Keith & Nicola McDonnell welcomed guests to raise a glass to the museum’s 3rd birthday while also saying sláinte to McDonnell’s Bar on the first floor which officially opens as a public bar from December 1st, just in time for a festive Irish Coffee with friends this holiday season.

Guests enjoyed food from The Gourmet Food Parlour including lamb & lentil stew, beef sliders and a selection of mini desserts before embarking upon a whistle-stop tour of the Irish Whiskey Museum, learning the history of uisce beatha and the global renaissance of whiskey over the last few years. Tour over, a guided tasting took place in the tasting room on the third floor of the building, with Glendalough, Powers and Irishman all being sampled, compared and enjoyed!

Whether it’s a VIP tour & tasting voucher under the Christmas tree for the Whiskey lover in your life or a table in the bar for Christmas drinks with friends, the Irish Whiskey Museum is the whole parcel with holly on top!
