On Thursday evening one of the most renowned wellness and fitness experts James Duigan joined us at The Marker Hotel for an evening of learning, insight and guidance. We had a full house of enrapt fitness and health fans and those of us curious to find out about his Clean & Lean approach to life.

James Duigan is the founder of wellness and lifestyle brand BODYISM and a globally-respected wellness coach, author and speaker who has empowered thousands of people to live healthy and happy lives.

Our Editor-in-chief Melanie Morris and James discussed the fundamentals of the BODYISM brand and the path that led him to the establishment of his first BODYISM store in London. He talked us through how his entire ethos is based on wanting to help and empower as many people as possible. The power of social media was discussed in depth, and how it can have such a negative and positive effect on people.

As a best selling author of seven books, he discussed his most recent book ‘Blueprint for Health’. Enlightening us on the Four Core Pillars of Health. While also discussing the challenges of modern life – how ‘sitting is the new smoking’ and the danger of sugar addiction.

Once all the chat was finished, it was time to get practical. James showed the audience his five key moves for total body fitness, with Sonia McGlynn from F45 Training , which had most people on their feet taking pictures and making mental notes to work out more.

10 lucky competition winners, people got to attend a Blueprint class the next morning with James Duigan. These classes are aimed at creating a long, lean, beautiful body.

All lucky attendees on the evening received Easy Dry towels, Benefit gifts, Bodyism supplements and Good4U treats. Not only this, but there were 10 blow-dry vouchers to give away for spot Q & A prizes. One lucky person walked away with four tickets to see Love Actually in the Boird Gais Energy Theatre with pre-theatre in The Marker, courtesy of RTE Radio One and The Marker.
