Royal baby watch: Ambulance spotted at Meghan Markle’s Windsor home

Fans of the royal family are at the edge of their seats this afternoon as an ambulance has been sighted at Frogmore Cottage. Could Meghan Markle have gone into labour?

Meghan Markle is expected to have her baby any day now and the alleged arrival of an ambulance at her Windsor home has fuelled rumours she’s gone into labour.

Back in October, a statement released by the royal family said the Duchess of Sussex was due to give birth in the spring. Now, as we near the end of April, the new royal baby is expected at any moment.

What’s more, just a few days ago, Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland touched town in the UK. The 62-year-old grandmother-to-be is expected to stay at Frogmore Cottage with her daughter and son-in-law as they welcome their new baby into the world.

Ambulance

It has been reported that an ambulance has been parked outside Frogmore Cottage on the grounds of Windsor Castle for the past 24-hours.

The cottage, which has recently been refurbished and contains a state-of-the-art nursery, is the new marital home of Meghan and Prince Harry. The pair formerly lived with Prince William and Kate Middleton at Kensington Palace before moving out earlier this year.

Update: Baby Sussex has been born

According to reports on social media, locals spotted a crew of three paramedics at the ambulance, which is parked on the boundary of the royal estate. Some people have also said a helicopter was seen in the sky above Frogmore.

The ambulance appears to be the type of vehicle which transfers medical supplies, rather than one which transfers patients to-and-from hospital. This further fuels reports that Meghan is having a home-birth.

Baby Sussex

Whether a boy or a girl, Baby Sussex will be seventh in line to the throne of England; coming next-in-line after his/her dad Prince Harry, and before the Queen’s second son Prince Andrew.

What’s more, it is unlikely they will have the title of ‘prince’ or ‘princess’.

The Queen confirmed in 2012 that all of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s children will be called prince or princess, but the same announcement has not been made for Harry’s children. Instead, Meghan and Harry’s baby will likely be given the title of Earl (if a boy) or Lady (if a girl).
