The Open House architecture and design festival is a firm favourite in Dublin and many other cities around the world – and it’s coming to Cork this weekend for the very first time?

Have you ever looked at a building and imagined throwing away your social inhibitions to climb, shimmy or wedge your way in to have a gawk? (Please note: this is trespassing; we don’t recommend it! But we do understand the urge.) Well, we interior-crazed folk are always delighted to have an opportunity to be nosy and legal all at the same time, and here’s our chance.

Lovely Cork city is opening its doors this coming weekend for its inaugural Open House festival, offering a jam-packed schedule of events, including building tours, walking tours, sketching tours, 3D printing, exhibitions, film screenings and workshops.

Click through the gallery above to find out which buildings we recommend checking out, then head to the link below to book and scan the events and handy map?
