Ever wanted to make an app? These girls are gonna show you how.
Have you ever wondered how to build an app? Most of us have ideas clattering around in our busy brains but when it comes to sitting down and making those dreams a potentially life-changing reality we can get properly stumped at where to start. This is where?Made Itswoops in a noble steed and teaches you how to, well, make it.
Made It is a series of talks coming to the capital this summer that brings together some of Dublin’s most interesting ‘makers and doers? and aims to demystify all the confusing processes involved in creating. Each talk is themed and will host experienced speakers sharing how projects go from just an idea to the successful end-product.?Made It is the brainchild of five Dublin-based girls (Aoife Crowley, Emily Carson, Zo? Jellicoe, Mary Plunkett and Lucy O?Sullivan) who were curious as to ?How do you make that??
The first talk takes place May 22nd in The Twisted Pepper and looks at ?How to Build an App?. From the idea inception to distribution to winning awards, these girls have got you covered. Tony Ennis, the impressive CTO at The Summit and developer of The Summit app will be on a panel with Shane Linehan of Bodytonic’s Doortonic App, Conor Winders who developed the Appy award-winning ?Life in the Womb? app, Clare Dillon who is Head of Developer and Platform Group at Microsoft Ireland and Dr. Susan McKeever, who lectures in the School of Computing in DIT and was a judge at the Appys 2013. James Kelleher and Simon Judge will wrap up the evening as they talk the development of?The Lonely Beast app.
Tickets are €10 and available?here for the first event. Say goodbye to guesswork and get your techie on. Who knows, you might have the next Tinder on your hands…
