For an evening of unforgettable music, you won’t want to miss a chance to see the supremely talented Irish soprano, Sandra Oman?in the Long Gallery at Castletown House in Celbridge, Co. Kildare, this Saturday, July 23rd at 8pm. ?She will be performing songs and arias from her’d?but album,?Liberty and it promises?to be an unforgettable show.
Born in the heart The Liberties in Dublin and a graduate of the DIT Conservatory of Music (currently a pupil of Conor Farren), Oman has performed extensively in opera and concert in Ireland, UK, USA, Italy, Faroe Islands, Latvia and Poland at ?prestigious venues including the National Opera House, Riga, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, New York and Carnegie Hall. She has also collected accolades during her varied career; she was the 2004 recipient of the Margaret Burke-Sheridan Award for her contribution to opera in Ireland.
This event will take place in the Long Gallery at Castletown House, an exquisite’setting. The Long Room is one of the most celebrated rooms at Castletown, and is unique in Ireland – the beautiful Pompeian style decoration dates from the 1770s and it features ornate paintings, sculptures, and lighting, all providing a marvelous and unique backdrop for the concert.
