Old-world glamour combined in perfect measure with modern glitz for the Irish premiere of the much-acclaimed The Equestrian, directed by Sybil H Mair. A rolling landscape complete with Victorian gardens made elegant Kilshane House the perfect location for this exclusive event. Guests from the Irish horse and dressage worlds as well as film fans were spellbound by The Equestrian, which tells the story of Freddie and his stallion, Gaius, who are destined to rule the dressage world – an intimate portrayal of the relationship between horse and rider. Over 80 guests including composer Joost Peters, British dressage star Stephanie Eardley, and Irish dressage star Sorrell Klatzko?gathered for the private viewing and were treated to a champagne reception and sumptuous three-course meal in the Orangerie. Prime Irish roast beef, Mediterranean couscous salad, and dark chocolate mousse were just some of the dishes that delighted guests. A decadent evening of drama and fine dining earned a standing ovation.
