Hillary Clinton Is Writing A Book Of Personal Essays

Yesterday Simon & Schuster announced that Hillary Rodham Clinton will release a book of personal essays this autumn. The essays are inspired by hundreds of quotations she has been collecting for decades, and she will use them to tell the stories of her life, including the presidential election.

?These are the words I live by,? said Hillary. ?These quotes have helped me celebrate the good times, laugh at the absurd times, persevere during the hard times and deepen my appreciation of all life has to offer. I hope by sharing these words and my thoughts about them, the essays will be meaningful for readers.?

The book is currently untitled and due to be published in autumn of this year.

Hillary has authored five previous books, all of which have been instant?#1 New York Times bestsellers: It Takes A Village (1996): Dear Socks, Dear Buddy (1998); An Invitation To The White House (2000), Living History (2003), and Hard Choices (2014).

Clinton is also working on an illustrated children’s version of her book, It Takes A?Village, proceeds of which will go to charity. According to The Associated Press, Hillary will resume public speaking including an international women’s day event organised by Vital Voices, the initiative Clinton and then-Secretary of State Madeleine Albright founded in 1997.

?For the past 21 years, the Gallup survey has ranked Hillary Rodham Clinton as the most admired woman in the world, and there are at least 65 million people in the United States who agree,? said Jonathan Karp, President and publisher of Simon & Schuster. ??We think a lot of them are going to want to hear her stories.?
